Online counselling is where counsellor and client work together through the medium of video rather than face to face in the same room.  It is bound by the same code of confidentiality and ethics as face to face counselling.  It provides the benefit of accessing counselling at times you may otherwise not be able to, and to those who may have transport difficulties.  Many clients also find the anonymity comfortable.
